  4. KBC Dublin Marathon 2020. Are you one of the 25,000 people taking part in one of Europe's biggest marathons on Sunday, October 25th, 2020? If so - why not use the opportunity to fundraise for Arthritis Ireland. Choose to honour yourself, your child, your family or friends, and make a BIG difference. Your fantastic support will ensure that we can continue to be there for everyone who is affected by this disease, whenever they need us. Help us to build a better world for people living with arthritis today. And a world without arthritis tomorrow. But not everyone understand that pain, the frustration of arthritis. Not everyone knows that 1 in 5 people in Ireland live with arthritis - that it is the single biggest cause of disability in Ireland. You will be running 26 miles, 385 yards. Between 55,000 and 65,000 strides. Not many will appreciate that for someone living with arthritis, any one of 55,000 steps might be a challenge. Any one of those 26 miles, a marathon all by itself.
