My Story

I am going to Zambia for six months as a VSO volunteer.  The work will be similar to what I did in Cameroon except that this time I will be working with five local councils on improvement of their financial management.  I will be living in a city (Kasama) and I will be part of a team.  The project is sponsored by Irish Aid and the recruitment, training and management of the volunteers is carried out by VSO.  VSO asks volunteers to raise funds to go towards the costs of putting them in their placement.  All donations will go directly to VSO, not to me.   Thank you in advance for your generosity, and to all those who have been so generous in the past.  It means a lot.

To encourage donations, I have recorded myself playing a few tunes and put them in a play list on Youtube.  Just click above.  I hope you enjoy them.

I can't find a way to update my blog on my placement in Cameroon (http://tomasinaifric.blogspot.com) so I am starting a new blog on my placement in Zambia (http://tomasinaifric.wordpress.com).

At the time of writing this I am due to travel to Zambia on the 17th June but a new Garda vetting system is causing delays so if you see me around after that date, that is what has happened.
