This year I am participating in the UCDVO Volunteering & Development Education project, a year long programme which includes a 4-week voluntary placement in Morogoro, Tanzania.  UCDVO is a registered charity  organisation which gives  students, staff and alumni of University College Dublin the opportunity to engage in volunteering and development programmes for the benefit of disadvantaged communities overseas.  These needs and the response are explicitly identified and agreed with by the communities we work with. The Morogoro project in Tanzania involves renovation of classes into computer rooms and the purchase of computers for the school. We, then provide education in computer skills, myself and other volunteers will be training teachers, enabling them to pass on these computer skills to their students. My fundraising target is €2,650. I know this is a large amount ofmoney but every donation to help me achieve this, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated!  I would like to use this page as a means of increasing the awareness about this very worthwhile Tanzania project, so I've included the video link below, which details some of the incredible work by previous volunteers in the UCDVO in Morogoro. All the money I raise will go to the project, all contributions are lodged immediately to the UCD Volunteers Overseas account .
