Hello Everyone ! I am so happy to say that I will be returning to Ruaha in Tanzania  this coming summer with UCD Volunteer Overseas Charity.  I am delighted to have been chosen to be a Student Leader for the project. There will be a team of 20 volunteers travelling to Tanzania for a month long Project. We are going to be volunteering in three schools in the local community. Last year we worked in three different schools in the area, which we plan to revisit and run a refresher course with them. The money we each have to fundraise will towards computer labs and resoures for the schools.  Three brand new, fully equipped computer labs of about 25 computers in each lab will be fitted in each of the schools. The locals will be inolved with their creation and UCD VO's partner TanzED will look after the maintanence of the labs.  From very basic classrooms with no windows , just gaps in the walls and corrigated metal for the roof they will be trasformed to computer labs with flooring, windows, electric fans and lighting and of course the computers .The fundraised money will also go towards resources for the schools such as eduational books, arts and crafts supplies and sports equipment. We will be teaching computer classes on how to use computers and their programmes such as office word , powerpoint and excel. They will also recieve a certficate at the end of our course. We will also be teaching english to the children and teachers and running summercamps in the afternoons for the kids. Our training for this project runs over the year and so we will be fully prepared from many traiing weekends to jump straight into the project once we arrive. We hope to leave the locals with new skills and knowledge , which they can share creating a sustainable impact on the commuinity.  Any donations of any size to help me reach my target will be greately appreciated :) Asante Sana - Thank you very much x
