Hey guys, my name is Sue Smith and I am a first year Psychology student at UCD.  This summer I will be travelling with UCD Volunteers Overseas to Tanzania for 4 weeks.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            I  will be staying in Ruaha, a rural town in Tanzania where I will be involved in computer education programmes, classroom refurbishments, summer camps for children, the distribution of books and educational resources in the local schools.  This is the third year that UCDVO are sending a group to Ruaha and we will also be running refresher courses to schools UCDVO were involved with last year so we can ensure progress is continuing to be made.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                We will be working with two existing charities in Tanzania; TanzED who deliver many educational programmes to local communities to ensure as many young children are educated and complete primary education as possible, and Camara Education who work with UCDVO to collect and transport computers to be used in our computer training courses in Ruaha.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                I will be running a number of fundraising events throughout the year and any donations big or small are very much appreciated as I hope to raise as much money possible before I leave.  The target is 2600 euro (1200 directly toward the project and 1400 for flights, lodgment etc.).                                                                           Thank you for reading this far and if you would like more information you can contact me on facebook or visit www.ucdvo.org
