Hi everyone! This summer I will be travelling to South East India to the state of Tamil Nadu with a group of 11 other students from UCD, to volunteer with a non-profit, Irish based charity organisation called Nandri. Their aim is to empower and educate disadvantaged women in rural areas by setting up self-help groups and micro finance groups, while also providing child education support. For a month in June we will be working alongside Indian students to provide help for problems the community has asked for aid with. I really appreciate any help I can get with fundraising for this project! These costs cover training, the implimentation of community development projects in areas of healthcare, education, infrastructure and enviromental protection, as well as flights, accomodation, local transport, visas, and insurance. Other personal costs such as vaccinations, malaria medicine and any personal travel will be covered by myself. Every little contribution helps! Thank you so much! - Stephanie
