Hi there! I'm Sarah Morris and I am very fortunate in that I have been selected to travel to Nicaragua in June 2017 as part of the UCD Volunteer Overseas Project Team. During the summer, I will be travelling alongside other UCD students to Somoto in north-west Nicaragua. We will be working on both construction and education developments during a four week period. Previous projects to Nicaragua have constructed many facilities for local schoolchildren including basketball courts, dormitories, library management aswell as the supply of running water.  Hopefully we can add to this list during the summer! 

Each team member is required to raise €2600 which includes the transportation and funding of project materials, for both construction and education. I hope to hold as many fundraising events as possible towards the end of the year and until we head off in June 2017. However,  any donations of any amount for this worthwhile cause would be much appreciated. Thanks a million!
