Hi :) My name is Ríona Sparkes and I'm a first year science student in UCD. This summer I've been lucky enough to be chosen to travel to Ruaha in Tanzania with UCDVO. I will be spending 4 weeks there, along with my group, providing computer skills training to adults and running English language classes and summer camps for children. The aim of this project is to provide teachers with vital skills in technology that they can the pass on to others in the community. While in Tanzania we will be working closely with two charities : TanzEd and Camara Education. TanzEd aims to increase access to government primary schooling by delivering programmes with local community members to ensure as many children as possible enrol in school and complete their primary education. Camara Education works with UCDVO to collect, refurbish and transport computers from Ireland to Ruaha.   I am abolutely thrilled to be a part of this project, but I can't do it alone! 100% of the profits made from this page will go directly into the project. Any donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated :)If you have any queries you can visit www.ucdvo.org or contact me at [email protected].
