This June I am taking part in UCD Volunteer Overseas Volunteers and Development Education program in Tamil Nadu in South India. A group of UCD students and I will be working with the charity Nandri who’s objective is to empower impoverished mothers to a sustainable future. They provide long term sustainable solutions to Dalit women or “untouchables”.  These women have been excluded from education, employment and society. I can’t wait to  work with such a great charity in Tamil Nadu this Summer. The project costs €2650, €1450 of which are for things such as insurance, accommodation and training. The other €1200 goes directly toward the project. I really appreciate the support and would am thankful for any contribution. Thank you, Rebecca
