Hi All, I need your help please!  I'm fundraising for a volunteer project organised by University College Dublin Volunteers Overseas (UCDVO) in partnership with Assam Dom Bosco University (ADBU) based in Guwahati, Assam, India. WHAT IS UCDVO?  UCD Volunteers Overseas (UCDVO) is a registered charity, which is based in University College Dublin. Its aims are to encourage critical thinking and active citizenship and provides UCD students, staff and alumni with the opportunity to engage in a volunteer programme for the benefit of disadvantaged communities overseas, in response to needs explicitly identified by those communities.                       I’m part of UCDVO’s Volunteering and Global Citizenship Education Programme for 2022/2023. I’m lucky enough to participate in this programme this year as Team Coordinator on the UCDVO Assam Project.  As part of this programme, our volunteer team will support a community development project being implemented by UCDVO’s partner ADBU in Assam. In July 2023 we will go to Assam in India to help deliver the programme in conjunction with ADBU. Project activities include running workshops in local communities to raise awareness of social issues. ........................................................................................……………………………………… WHERE DOES THE FUNDRAISING GO? Individuals taking part in the Volunteer Programme are required to carry out fundraising activities to contribute to UCDVO’s overseas partners. The €1,850 minimum fundraising target will be allocated as follows: €1,500 to partner programmes and project costs and €350 to UCDVO programme administration.                           .....................................................................................................................................................
