Hi there, my name is Paddy Allen and I have been selected to return to Nicaragua in June 2018 as a Student Leader for the UCD Overseas Project Team. This summer, I will be travelling alongside other UCD students to Somoto which is in north-west Nicaragua. We will be working on both infrastructural and education development over a four week period. In the past, students who have travelled to Nicaragua have constructed many facilities for native schoolchildren including basketball courts, dormitories, the management of the library aswell as the supply of running water.  Last summer, we were able to construct a computer room for the children in the Agricultural College in Somoto. I hope to add to this list this summer! We are all required to raise €2600 which includes the transportation and funding of project materials, for both construction and education. While I hope to hold as many fundraising events as possible in early 2018 aswell as covering most of the costs myself, any donations of any amount at all are really appreiated. Thanks a million!
