My Story
Hello everyone, since I made the decision to volunteer overseas with Habitat for Humanity on their Global Village Programme people have asked me why? Truthfully I have thought about volunteering on a project like this for a few years but it never seemed to be the right time. 2017 threw up alot of various challenges which thankfully I overcame but it got me thinking that I would like to complete a different type of challenge in 2018 one that would allow me to appreciate what I have and of course most importantly help other people. I had heard about Habitiat for Humanity and the tremendous work that they have done in Ireland and overseas. I was interested in volunteering for one of their overseas projects which will be in Zambia in July. By participating in this programme I am looking forward to making a visible impact and help change families lives. To work as part of a team and develop new skills and to experience a different culture and learn about global development issues. Finally I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support that you can give me for this trip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Olive.
