Hi everyone, as many of you may know this year I have been given the opportunity to take part in the UCDVO Volunteering & Global Citizenship Programme, a component of which is a 4-week virtual voluntary placement in July.  As part of my third-year Physiotherapy placement, I will be working with Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre based in Meghalaya, India. The centre works to rehabilitate and educate children with disabilities in order to empower them and give them as many opportunities as possible. The centre works closely with the childrens' families in order to educate them on  the importance of early rehabilitation. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated to support the project. All donations will go directly to the centre which will use the funds to support the rehabiliation and education programmes. UCDVO is a registered charity which provides UCD students, staff and alumni the opportunity to engage in a year-long volunteering and globalcitizenship programme for the benefit of disadvantaged communities overseas, in response to needs explicitly identified by those communities. Throughout the next year, I will participate in a series of UCDVO ProgrammeDays, including development education workshops, training and team-building activities before and after virtual volunteering takes place.https://www.ucdvo.org/http://fshc.org.in/
