Hi guys, as some of you may know, this year I have been lucky enough to be chosen to be apart of the UCDVO team. In July 2018, I will be traveling to Nansana Health Centre in Uganda with a team of student physiotherapists and general volunteers. We are traveling as part of UCDVO to work alongside an Irish charity ‘Nurture Africa’. This organization aims to nurture the development of vulnerable children and adults through healthcare, education and sustainable livelihood projects. I will spend four weeks providing therapy to children with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy and will be working closely with their families to provide the support and education to continue this much-needed therapy at home. The funds raised will support the team to carry out the therapies and education for one month and also covers the cost of the project resources such as a rehab camp for children with Cerebral palsy, physio equipment, prosthesis, education resources and aids such as wheelchairs, walking frames and specialized seating. I would greatly appreciate any donations, big or small to this great project. Thanks a mil, Niamh :)
