UCDVO’s Mission is to provide UCD students, staff and alumni with opportunities to volunteer for the benefit of disadvantaged communities overseas, in response to needs explicitly identified by those communities. I will be volunteering in Kiziisi hosptial  which is a 250 bed hosptial located in rural Uganda and doing some outreach work with local communities. I will also be working in a cerebral palsy camp in Kisiizi Hospital which aims to provide sustainable treatment for the participants and help educate their families on how best to manage their child's condition and maximise their quality of life.  Volunteers are asked to fundraise to support the costs of project resources such as the rehabilitation camp, educational resources, refurbishment and physiotherapy equipment. I would be extremely grateful of any donation that you can give, no matter how small! Every cent will be put to great use on the project. Thank you so much, Niamh.
