My Story
On 4th November myself and over 100 other participants will be taking on the Turf Warrior Challenge, which will take place in Killary Connemara. The race is a 8-10km circuit, with over 20 obstacles that will have us leaping, swinging & crawling through the Connamara in the freezing cold!!All proceeds from our fundraising will go towards supporting the children in the Cheshire Children's Home in Zambia, a project that I visited last year with Alan Kerins. There are over 1200 children with disabilities registered under the care of this facility. Surgical interventions are provided together with prosthetic limbs and a care plan in place to include nutritional, medical, educational and development goals for each child. Provision of prosthetic limbs are FULLY DEPENDENT on the availability of funds. ALL money raised will go directly to helping support these amazing children through surgery and aftercare to ensure these disabled children have the same health, educational and job oppertunities as others in society. Any support you can provide will make a huge difference.
