Heya, my name is Meg O' Doherty and I am a student in UCD. This year I am delighted to volunteering with  UCD Volunteers Overseas . I, with several others, will be volunteering with the Morogoro, Tanzania project which is focused around education development. This is a year-long project that involves four weeks of volunteering in Tanzania during the Summer which I will be fundraising and training for year-round. During my time in Tanzania I will be teaching I.T. skills to teachers in the schools in Morogoro and holding English language classes for children.  This project is run in association with TanzED with the belief that; poverty is unnacceptable in the 21st Century, that education is key to ending poverty, and that technology radically improves the quality of education.  With this in mind, we will also be helping to improve library resources and to refurbish schools in Morogoro, in the hopes of providing the best possible educational experience for all the students and teachers involved. For the project I have to raise a total of €2650. €1000 will go towards flights, accomodation, and food etc. The remaining €1650 and any extra raised goes towards the project itself - including the refurbishment of computers, training, and library resources. I am so grateful to have this opportunity and would greatly appreciate any support towards this amazing cause! Thanks in advance ;) x
