Hi, my name is Mairead Boyce and I am a second-year nursing student in UCD.   This summer I have been lucky enough to have been chosen to go to Nicaragua in Central America volunteering with UCD Volunteers Overseas.  Myself and 23 other volunteers will be going away for 4 weeks to Somoto in Nicaragua.  We will be going to a rural community to partake in construction project and education projects.  In previous years volunteers have constructed basketball courts and other facilities for school children like dormitories, management of a library and also a supply of running water.  In order to make this all happen I need to raise 2600euros.  This money will go towards getting supplies for the project and to get the volunteers to Central America.  I would really appreciate any donations however big or small.  I will be holding more fundraisers in the coming weeks to reach the target.  You can head over to www.ucdvo.org to find out more about volunteering overseas.  Thank you again for any donation, big or small!! xoxo
