Hello, my name is Lynda and I'm a 3rd year physiotherapy student in UCD.

 In June 2025 I will be travelling to Nansana  - Wakiso District, Uganda as part of a physotherapy team to volunteer in  providing a 4 week rehabilitation camp for children with disabilities and their families - performing assessments, providing postural support, implementing adaptive equipment and supportive devices and providing advice and education to parents and caregivers to ensure continued implementation upon completion of the camp. 

'The Nurture Africa Health Centre provides quality HIV and primary health treatment to the most vulnerable children and parents/guardians in Wakiso District, Uganda. UCDVO project activities will include a rehabilitation camp for children with disabilities and their families. Over 300 children have been supported by Nurture Africa and UCDVO since 2015.'

As a volunteer for this project we are fundraising to be able to offer an effective rehab programme that will aim to improve the quality of these childrens lives. All donations will go towards the programme -  including provision of essential equipment to improve mobility and comfort among the camp participants.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping us support these children as much as possible, and will be greatly appreciated.
