Hi Everyone, as some of you may already know, I am delighted to be taking part in the UCDVO Volunteering and Development Education programme in partnership with the Tanzanian NGO ‘TanzED’ and ‘CamaraEducation’ organisation for 2019/2020. This summer I will be travelling as part of a team to Ruaha, Tanzania for four weeks to provide computer education, with refurbished computer labs, and English language classes for teachers and pupils. With a huge importance in computer and IT knowledge today, our main focus is to help Ruaha sustain a high level of computer literacy. By teaching teachers in schools our aim is for them to have the knowledge to be capable to teach the wider community of Ruaha when our UCDVO programme comes to an end. For this to happen, each volunteer is required to raise €2,650 throughout this year-long programme. With your support, no matter how big or small, you can help support these vulnerable communities to strive in our technology driven society.
