BarbaraLynch is organizing this fundraiser to benefit Mustard Seed Communities Hi all, I’m running the Wicklow Half Marathon this Sunday 26th March 2023, to raise funds for Mustard Seed Communities, (MSC). My goal is to raise as much money as possible to support MSC’s feeding programmes in Zimbabwe, where they are feeding 1,250 children every day who are on the brink of starvation! To say I’m nervous is an understatement, but what will keep me going is that for every kilometre I run, another hungry child in Zimbabwe may live to see another day. (It costs just €200 to feed a child a hot meal every day for a whole year!) AboutMustard Seed Communities:MustardSeed Communities (MSC) is an international non-profit dedicated to caring forthe most vulnerable populations throughout the developing world.  MSC provides loving and lifelong residential care to children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS and young mothers in crisis across Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe and Malawi. MSC also provides education, nutrition, and skills training programmes within marginalized communities, empowering people to break out of the cycle of poverty. One of  MSC’s feeding programmes in Zimbabwe is called The Ngozi Mine, a trash dump where more than 2,000 people live in subhuman conditions amongst the filth andthe flies. MSC provides a simple meal programme where they prepare a hot meal on the dump, for the children who live in the garbage. Please give what you can to support this very worthy cause!With huge thanks, Barbara
