Hi everyone!As many of you know, I'm lucky enough to have been chosen to travel to Ruaha, Tanzania this summer as part of UCD Volunteer Overseas' year-long Development Education programme. Throughout the next year, I'll be participating in various development education workshops and health and safety training days, before heading overseas for a 4 week long placement. While I'm over there, I, along with 15 other volunteers, will be providing English language and computer education classes to teachers and children in local communities. Approx half of the money I raise will go towards costs of the project itself (eg. educational resources, computer laboratories). The other half will be used for volunteer costs (eg. flights, visas), most of which I hope to fund myself.The project aims to be as sustainable as possible, as we'll be building on the work completed last year, as well as setting up new computer labs in different schools. Any donations big or small would be greatly appreciated!If you've any questions about the project or the work UCDVO do, feel free to contact me on Facebook and I'd be happy to answerThank you!Laura :)
