English (Español a continuación).                                                                                                                                                                  Last September I moved to Dublin to start my first job after completing my PhD.  I am working as a scientist at University College Dublin where I found an amazing charity which has been doing an increadible jobin different countries overseas over the last 15 years. Even before moving here, I already knew I wanted to be part ofthis big family and travel overseas to help in health care realted projects. Indeed, I am part of a group of UCD students and staff going to Nansana, Uganda in collaboration with the ONG Nurture Africa. We are travelling at the end of June, 2019  for amonth and we will be involved in different projects:                                                                                                                                                                                                    1- Rehabilitation for children with disabilities.  2- Education programmes: health, nutrition and disability awareness workshops. 3- Training and development programmes for local staff. 4- Health centre development: audits and reporting.                                                                                                                                                             Every little help, will make our time in Nansana much more valuable. THANKS A MILLION & UN MILLÓN DE GRACIAS                                                                                                                                                                             Español (English above)                                                                                                                                                                             Como muchos sabéis, el pasado Septiembre memudé a Dublin para comenzar mi primer trabajo tras conseguir mi PhD. Estoy trabajando como investigadora postdoctoral en la Universidad de Dublin(University College Dublin). Aquí hay una organización benéfica llamada UCDVO,que lleva realizando un trabajo increíble durante 15 años con estudiantes universitarios en distintos países en desarrollo. Antes de instalarme en Dublín, ya había visto el trabajo que UCDVO hace y quería formar parte de esta gran familia y viajar al extranjero para ayudar en alguno de los proyectos relacionados con la salud y el bienestar de personas en países en desarrollo. Finalmente, he sido seleccionada para participar en el programa de Nansana, en Uganda, en colaboración con la ONG, Nurture Africa. Viajaremos a Nansana (Uganda) a finales de junio del 2019 durante un mes. Como grupo, estaremos ayudando en distintos projectos:                                                                                                                                                                                         1- Rehabilitación para niños con discapacidad. 2- Programas educativos sobre salud, nutrición y  ayudar a entender loque es vivir con distintas enfermedades o discapacidades. 3- Formación y desarrollo de programas para trabajadores locales. 4-  Desarrollo del centro de salud de Nurture Africa (auditorías, identificación de problemas,etc. ).                                                                                                                                                                                           Cada pequeña ayuda hará que nuestro tiempo en Nansana sea mucho más valioso. UN MILLÓN DE GRACIAS & THANKS A MILLION
