Hi, I'm Hannah. I am 16 years old and I am a transition year student in St. Raphaela's Secondary School. I have fornutately been selected by Mustard Seed Communities to be part of the 'Children for Children Programme'. The programme is designed to open the minds of children from first world countries to the everyday realities of life for children who are far less fortunate. The aim is for volunteers to enhance the lives of the children of Mustard Seed through positive interactions and tangible work projects that help improve the facilities and infanstructure of their homes. In October 2020, I will be travelling with 19 other girls from my school to Kingston Jamaica. We will stay in a residence called Sophie's place among 22 Jamaican children with varying disabilities for one week. Throughout the week, we will take part in work projects (for example light construction, painting, building repair, landscaping and agricultural projects) as well as playtime and interaction with the children of Mustard Seed Communitites. In order to take part I must raise a total of €2700. This covers my expenses for the week but also directly supports the children of Mustard Seed Communities. Please help me on my journey by donating. All contributions will be greatly appreciated.
