Hi, my name is Eve and I am a first-year science student in UCD.This summer I will be travelling to Morogoro, Tanzania with UCD VolunteerOverseas. UCDVO is a charitable organisation which gives students, staff and alumni the opportunity to volunteer overseas in different countries working on sustainable development projects to help change peoples' lives for the better. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to take part in the project this coming year. While in Morogoro, we will be involved with computer education programmes, classroom refurbishments, summer camps for children, and the distribution of books and educational resources to schools in the area. Volunteer fundraising goes towards the refurbishment of classrooms to computer labs and the set up of computers and other resources in these labs. We will teach basic computer skills to teachers in the schools, and may also carry out refresher courses to teachers who have previously been involved in the programme. We will also be doing English language classes both with students and teachers and will be organising and facilitating summer camps for the children. I am asking for any donation at all to support me and help me reach my target of €2600No help goes unwanted so any donation, no matter how small, is appreciated!
