I will be going to Guwahati,Assam in North East India for four weeks this summer to volunteer as a part of the UCD Volunteers Overseas organisation. UCDVO has worked in partnership with Assam Don Bosco University in Guwahati, Assam since 2014. The group of UCD volunteers that I will be working alongside will be working in partnership with a group of masters social work students from Assam don Bosco University on community development projects. These projects could range from basic education to sanitation, hygiene & health. All work is done in consultation with the community and workshops are designed in response to the needs of the local community.Last summer I volunteered with UCD Volunteers Overseas and we taught Ukranian refugees english. It was such a good opportunity and I am more than excited to take part in this years project in India. In order to take part in this amazing project I need to raise  €1500 for this community in Assam. I really hope you choose to support me in this endeavour and help the people of Guwahati, every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
