Hi everyone, this summer I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to volunteer in India with UCD Volunteer Overseas alongside 11 other UCD students. The project is situated in the southern province of India, Tamil Nadu. Here, I will spend one month, working hand in hand with the Nandri organisation. Their mission is to empower disadvantages women in rural India through self-help groups, micro finance and child education support. They work primarily with impoverished mothers in the villages of Tamil Nadu. For this to be possible each volunteer must raise a minimum of €1400, that all goes directly to the project. I will cover my personal travel costs myself. I would greatly appreciate if you could assist me with my fundraising. I would thoroughly appreciate any donations, big or small to the worthy cause.
