My Story
On the weekend of the 21st March, I will be participating in The Race 2020 in Donegal. The Race is a 250 km unsupported endurance event across North West Donegal. It involves 15km of kayaking,166k of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. It is billed as Irelands toughest endurance event. Proceeds from The Race go to Self Help Africa, who work with rural communities to improve their farms and their livelihood. Their mission is to empower rural Africans to achieve economic independence. In Africa 75% of people rely on small scale agriculture for their survival and Self Help Africa strengthens agricultural systems, improves access to services and inputs, and provides rural African communities with the opportunities to market and sell their produce.
