My Story

My name is Clodagh Kelly, I am a final year Science student in University College Dublin. I have been given a fantastic opportunity to travel with UCD Volunteers Overseas to the semi-urban, poverty-stricken town called Nansana in Uganda.  Since 2015, UCDVO has been working in partnership with Nurture Africa, running a local healthcare centre in Nansana, conducting school workshops, home and business visits, painting murals, HIV testing and interacting with local children with Cerebral Palsy and their mothers. Essentially the aim of the project is to improve access to healthcare, education, sustainable livelihood and child welfare in the local community. All of the money raised through this page will go directly towards the project, every donation is greatly appreciated and is going towards a fantastic charity. For more information on the project please visit www.nutureafrica.ie and www.ucdvo.org.
