In September I am travelling with VSO (Volunteer Services Overseas) toRwanda to volunteer as a Teaching Advisor on a new literacy and numeracy programme.The main aim of the programme is to implement a new English and Mathscurriculum in the early years throughout schools in Rwanda. I will be working inthe district of Rusizi, which is about 5½ hours from Kigali, the capital. Iwill be training teachers from schools throughout the district, and will thenbe responsible for the monitoring of their implementation of the newprogramme.  VSO are a well-established international organisation, and VSO Irelandis partially funded by the government. They also rely heavily on publicdonations and each volunteer is asked to raise €1500, which is where I needyour help. Please see below a short synopsis of what VSO is all about.
