A little bit about Depaul, the organisation running this event. Depaul is a charity working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They have 17 accommodation and community based services throughout Dublin and work with the most marginalised of the homeless population. Since 2002, Depaul have supported people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Ireland including families, people with acute addictions and women leaving the criminal justice system. The people who come to stay with Depaul are very often excluded from other services and have limited help available to them. Events such as the Raft Race are essential to the continuation of their great work.
