The Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre reaches out to hearing impaired children from all over India and provides specialist care for the prevention and reduction of the effects of preventable hearing impairment in young children. Their mission is to discover a childs potential and provide opportunities for full development, preparing him/her for an independent life. The Ferrando team also works towards the empowerment of the families to face the challenges in bringing up their hearing-impaired childrenUCDVO has partnered with the Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre since 2014. Over the next year, I will participate in a series of UCDVO Programme days, including development education workshops, training and team-building activities before and after virtual volunteering takes place. All the money we raise goes directly to the charities involved.Every child, despite even severe disabilities, has real potential for development. To allow us to have the greatest impact, especially in these challanging times, I would greatly appreciate your support on this project!
