5 years ago I lost a dear friend. Since then, it's been hard to find ways to make sense of it and i don't suppose I ever will. I'm competing in the race in his memory. I hope that thoughts of the good times we had together will carry me through the 24hrs and 250km's of madness that make up the route. The day of The Race will mark his 36th birthday. Along the way, I hope to raise as much money as I can for Self Help Africa (The Race's charity of choice). Please help me make this event count as much for them and the great work they do as it will for me! Alex
