Projects

  1. MRCI operates a drop- in centre that opens to the public Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. We provide information on a variety of areas including workplace rights, general migration and residency issues, and information on employment permits. In 2014 our drop-in centre had 1,252 new cases. We plan to continue this service in 2016.

  2. Our Migrants Forum was successful project which gave 150 people a chance to meet EU and local election candidates in 2014. We plan to hold a similar event in 2016 to faciliate dialog between undocumented people and political representatives.

  3. In 2016 we plan to continue our advocacy work at government level to ensure our policy priorities are recognised by policy makers. In 2014 our priorities included addressing discrimination in recruitment practices and in the workplace, advocating for transparent and coherent labour migration policy, and securing regularization for undocumented migrants.
