Hi guys. As some of you may already know I'm a third year physio student in UCD, and this year I was lucky enough to be chosen to travel to Vijayawada in South India with UCDVO as part of their volunteering projects. I'll be doing voluntary work as part of my physio placement and I will be working in a physiotherapy centre with children suffering from cerebral palsy, leprosy and polio, among other conditions. We will also be conducting community physiotherapy visits where education workshops are given to families who are unable to bring their children to the centres. The money we raise will also go towards refurbishing the physiotherapy centres and purchasing much needed medical equipment.I need to raise €2600 to be able to travel this June which seems really scary at the moment! This is roughly broken down into €1,400 for volunteer costs (flights, accomodation, training etc.) and €1,200 for the costs of the project (eg. educational resources and physio equipment/ medical supplies.) Any donation, big or small will be greatly appreciated! :)Thank you!
