Hi Everyone!
I’m a final year Human Nutrition student in UCD and I have been given the opportunity to volunteerin Nansana, Uganda with UCD Volunteer Overseas this summer. I will be working with a group of nurses, physiotherapy and med students in a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities.
We’re going to be setting up malnutrition workshops as well as educating the public to help reduce the stigma surrounding disabilities and holding camps for children with disabilities. We will be working in partnership with Nurture Africa who provide healthcare, education, sustainable livelihoods and child welfare for vulnerable families in Uganda.
