Hi there!My name is Lorna Bailey and I am final year English and Drama student in UCD and have been lucky enough to get involved with UCD Volunteers overseas where I will travel to Morogoro Tanzania in June 2017 for four weeks. The project is co-operated with two other charitable organisiations, Tanzed and Camara. While I am there I will be working, along with 20 other volunteers, towards the aims of these organisations to provide IT training for teachers and to help provide them with better computer facilities. I will be teaching English language classes for children in Magadu primary school as well as working in Summer camps and a library development project. This educational programme is beneficial to both adults and children as it creates an advancement for both students and teachers that they can continue to pass on once the programme ends. To ensure we carry all of this out I have to raise 2600 euro in order to journey out there and bring the correct supplies.
