My name is Laura Hession and I am a third year mental health student nurse in UCD. I have been given the opportunity to travel to Nansana, Uganda with a number of other UCD students with UCD Volunteers Overseas.The healthcare project is in partner with "Nurture Africa" in Nansana which has a population of approx 79,000. Nansana is a semi-urban town located six - seven miles northwest of the capital city of Uganda, Kampala. The goal is to engage in a health centre project providing access to Healthcare, Education, Sustainable Livelihoods and Child Welfare for vulnerable families within Nansana.I will be running several fundraising activities over the course of the coming academic year including table quizzes, nights out and bag-packing in shopping centres around Dublin and Kildare.I would be extremely grateful if you could make a donation through this page, no donation is too small and would be greatly appreciated.Thank you so much and I will keep you all posted throughout the coming year!
