My Story
This year I am taking part in the UCDVO Volunteer Programme, which involves a 4-week voluntary placement with Nurture Africa Livelihoods in Nansana, Wakiso District, Kampala, Uganda. UCDVO is a registered charity that enables UCD students, staff, and alumni the opportunity to take part in volunteering for the benefit of disadvantaged communities overseas, in response to the needs identified by those communities. Nurture Africa is an Irish founded internationally registered Non-Governmental Organisation that works in Uganda with a targeted focus upon Healthcare, Education, Child Protection & Gender Equility and Economic Empowerment through healthcare, education, and livelihood projects. The funds raised will go directly to Nurture Africa and contribute to their development programmes, along with supporting specific costs of the volunteering project such as transport, food, and other necessary resources.Any support to the fundraising effort would be really appreciated.
