Hey guys, I have been lucky enough to be chosen as one of 4 UCD physiotherapy students to travel to North East India for 4 weeks in June 2020 to volunteer as part of my elective placement. Myself and three other physiotherapy students will be travelling to Meghalaya where we'll be based in Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre, a school for children with hearing impairments and disabilities. Throughout our 4 weeks we will be providing physiotherapy services and providing well needed equipment to children with physical disabilities to help their quality of life, additionally providing physiotherapy services for the local community through community visits and educating physiotherapy assistants so they can continue on the tremendous work. In order to achieve this we've each been asked to raise minimum of €2,650. Approx half of this will go towards travel, accommodation and insurance and the other half will go directly to the project for the provision of physiotherapy equipment, facilities and implementing .  Any donation, no matter how big or small will be immediately beneficial to these children and their communities.
