Hello everyone! :) I have created this page because I have been given the incredible opportunity of being a volunteer for UCD VO this summer in the region of Assam, North East India. Our team of volunteers alongside with the local team,  will be working together and will focus on the following objectives:  community development and intercultural learning. Some of the activities involve renovating Anganwadis (i.e. pre-schools) in order to create a clean and safe environment for the local communities. We will also be carrying workshops and awareness-raising activities in response to specific social issues exisisting within the community. Some of these included awareness rallies, street theatre and teaching about topics such as alcoholism, human rights, domestic violence, health and hygiene. In order to do so, we as volunteers need your help! Any contribution, no matter how small, will be very much appreciated.
