I have been given the opportunity to travel to Morogoro,Tanzania for 4 weeks with UCD Volunteers Overseas, and a component of this programme is raising €2650 (which is why I’m here). In June 2019, I will be providing ICT and English classes for teachers, as well as English classes and summer camps for students in a team of 18 volunteers. Part of the amount raised will also go towards renovating a classroom in the school where we will be working. UCDVO is a registered charity, and over the year I will be engaged in training to prepare for volunteering in Tanzania, and completing development education workshops aimed at enhancing our sense of social justice and understanding of global issues.
