Hello everyone! Next June 2018, I am hoping to travel to Assam, North-East India with UCD Volunteers Overseas, a charity organisation that annually sends UCD students abroad to work in the communities that they aid throughout the year. Students take part in educational programmes, community development and awareness and construction projects. In India, I will be renovating children's nursery schools, teaching and working with the pupils who attend these schools and also collaborating with the local community on awareness raising initiatives about local problems in the area. The work of UCDVO in the countries in which it operates has been positively affecting people's lives for over ten years now and I hope to be part of this incredible effort!However, if I am to go, I need your help! I need to raise €2600 in order to travel next year and in order to support the work that our team will be doing. €1600 of this money will go to costs like flights, accomodation, food, visa, insurance etc. while I am in India and the other €1000 (or more!) goes to supporting the forementioned, amazing projects that UCDVO run in the region. Additional funds raised go directly towards further developing these projects, either during my one month placement there or in the years to come.  I would really appreciate it if you could donate to my cause and help me help others in Assam!
